(High School Prom)

""I was the advisor for the Ithaca High School junior class in 2016 and hired Washburn Entertainment for our prom that at The Johnson Museum in Cornell University. A few years back, there were some bad experiences with DJ's that led to the school only using live bands recently but ideally with students these days, having a great DJ is much more appealing so we took the chance to hire DJ Washburn. WOW! Words can't describe how much he blew our minds and exceeded our expectations! The kids had no idea prom could be that fun and the dance floor was packed all night! Washburn Entertainment's music, mixing, and lighting was incredible and went well beyond what I've ever seen with a typical DJ! The uplighting setup completely transformed the entire room as the lights moved with the music and added an element that created tons of "Ooohs and Ahhhhhs" We can't thank him enough and will certainly be hiring him in the future!"

"As the new advisor in charge of the Prom, I was tempted to keep our "traditional" DJ, but when the Committee and I read over Chris' testimonials and listened to his playlists on Sound Cloud, we agreed to pay the extra $ and hire Washburn Entertainment. Of the 109 attendees, 100 of them were on the dance floor for most of the night. Chris remained engaged with the students and was constantly on his computer masterfully stopping and starting their favorite songs at precise times to keep them dancing all night long! The correspondence leading up to our event was informative, timely, and assuring. Chris knows his music, and he knows how to keep people dancing. He reads the crowd and remains totally focused on the job at hand. Kudos on a job well done, Chris...see you next year!!"

"I am a teacher at Marcus Whitman. We heard from another school that he was the best in Ithaca. So, we went with him as well, for Senior Ball. He was phenomenal! A Great mixture of music from classic oldies-modern up-beat dub-step, to techno-country remixes. He was very professional and aware of his audience! We were impressed so much that I booked him for my wedding reception this August. Just to put this into perspective, the other DJs I was looking were charging half of what Washburn quoted. Partly because of travel time to our wedding area and his expertise and after much debate, my fiancé and I thought it was well worth it to spend the extra money. It will be a fantastic personalized party and I have no doubts."

(High School Prom)

I can not recommend Chris enough! He is a talented DJ that has every student dancing and enjoying themselves. Chris provided an outstanding service to the Horseheads High School Junior Prom, March 2014. Prior to the prom, Chris was diligent in meeting with me, but also making sure that the culture of Horseheads was kept at the prom. Chris went above and beyond in preparing for the prom. He was always in contact with myself, and the venue. At prom, Chris had every student on their feet dancing for four straight hours! The music he played was appropriate for a high school prom, and the students were all engaged. The dance floor was packed every minute!!!! I can not recommend Chris enough, he is exactly what every high school needs. .

(Pre-K Dance)

"Chris was awesome!!!! My son's Pre-K class had a formal dance and at the last minute the DJ that we had scheduled cancelled. I was given Chris's name by a co worker and at last minutes notice Chris said he would DJ the event for us. Chris did a fantastic job. He had age appropriate music and great lighting for this group of 4 and 5 year olds. The Pre-K kids and their families had a wonderful time. Thank You so much Chris!"

(Office Paty/Awards Banquet)

I was put in charge of finding a DJ for our annual work dinner dance. I used Thumbtack (for the first time) and found Washburn Entertainment. Chris was accommodating, friendly and truly focused on making our event great (which it was!). He was also very reasonably priced. Several coworkers came up to me the Monday after, asking for his information. We also hope to have Chris join us again next year as our dinner dance DJ.

(Sweet 16 Party)

Chris did an amazing job! Despite the weather and the bitter cold, he made the long trip. He knew how to play to the crowd (teenagers) and helped out with announcements throughout the party, it would have been a disaster without him. I will be using him again for future engagements and would definitely refer his services to my family and friends. Chris was friendly, dependable and did a wonderful job on my daughters sweet 16!

I helped hire Chris Washburn to DJ a fraternity dance formal for Cornell University this past year. It was a private event held at an intimate venue in Ithaca for about 200 people. We were looking for a solid DJ that could keep everyone dancing and having a good time and that is exactly what Chris was able to do. Song selection was great and his DJ abilities were very seasoned. It definitely made a huge difference over just playing iTunes from a computer. Having Chris, a live, skilled DJ, with a fun personality made the night much better! Thanks again!
